First of all, I'm very excited that you're on "the l word" because i-- do you know this woman, jennifer beals from "flashdance"? Okay. I have a girl crush thing. Let me tell you. Which I'm sure anyone who ever saw "flashdance" has on her. Anyone in their right mind who grew up-- who has seen that movie-- loves her. And I am lucky enough that she's one of my best, best girlfriends in the world. Oh, really? So I can't say I have a girl crush, 'cause that would be weird. But I can acknowledge that she's stunning and kind and talented and all that good stuff. Did you get the job on the show from knowing her? Did she recommend you? She did recommend me. And how about that for a girl having your back in hollywood? Very nice, yeah. We've worked together before, on a movie called "roger " and we happen to work really well together. We have each other's backs. We can kind of-- I mean, it would've been awkward. I play a straight character. And her character does have a crush on me and! has since i was her student. A, at Yale, and we're reconnecting now in our life. And she had tried to make a pass at me back then, and now we are seeing each other for the first time. We're connecting. You know this isn't real life, right? I'm processing it with you. I need some therapy. No. But seriously, though, I did grow up with that movie, as I'm sure you did as well. It's like J.Lo. Lo dance and you're like, I need to touch that ass. You know what I mean? You want to move like that. No, trust me ...
